About Me
Update December 2012
After re-reading the About Me page for the first time since I wrote it, I realized it needed to be updated. For as many things that remain the same, just as many have changed. My name is still Dawne and I still live with my husband and all five of our children in the same bubble. We still laugh a lot, although as some of the children head into adolescence it seems a little more crammed even when it’s not raining.
In spite of that, the bubble has grown since I began confabulating with others here on this blog. I’ve met many people and peeked into countless fascinating bubbles. And each has been a different world. But the differences have only served to illuminate the similarities.
As my bubble continues to grow so does my love for writing, and the time I have to devote to it continues to shrink. And my three major food groups are still Cheezits, red wine, and mochas.
As for the clothes, I still like wearing them, but they don’t seem to interest me enough to fill an entire bubble. I think if I could have another bubble to fill, I’d fill it with all the junk that the seven people occupying my bubble have managed to accumulate over the years. Then maybe the bubble we live in would stay clean.
March 2011
My name is Dawne and I live with my husband, five children and two goldfish. We like to laugh. The bubble that is our world is comfortably full, but after a few rainy days it can seem crammed.
Update April 2012: Today, we are minus goldfish, due to an unfortunate accident involving a misplaced boot and someone carrying the fishbowl. You have no idea what a HUGE mess one little broken fishbowl can make.
There are so many things that interest me. The short list includes: writing, music, clothes (if I could afford it, I’d need another bubble just for the clothes) and books.
I am really looking forward to sharing thoughts, questions, answers and laughs with you.
Oh, there are a few more things my profile would not be complete without: I love mochas, Cheez-Its and a nice glass (or two) of wine.

Thank you. I’m glad you like the posts.
It’s funny you mention John. Yesterday was his birthday. I almost wrote another post to him.
Stay in touch!

I hope the little lives were lamented more than a mess. I’ve been in animal communication circles so long, I forget not everyone equals them to people. I ban the word ‘owner’. I just got a birthday card in the mail from my parents, for our soon 12 year-old Siamese. Our cats are our children. Our 1 year-old white tabby is loyally next to me in another office chair. I send cards to the biological family of our 7 year-old grey tabby. I wept to find out his young Mother has passed away.
I appreciate your brother helping the abused, worthy work. I’m glad you want to understand domestic critters. I’d love for you and he to see great books that changed my life.
